Tina Wang, who was born and raised in Taiwan, is happy to now call New York her home. She is a graduate of the National Taiwan College of Performance Art in Taipei, Taiwan. Tina majored in Dance and Performance with a concentration in Modern Dance. She has over 10 years of teaching experience and has worked as a dance instructor for both adults and children. Having taught young children for many years, Tina is thrilled to open her first dance studio, called Studio 214 and is excited to bring her expertise to Brooklyn, New York.

In 2017, the mission of Studio 214 primarily focuses on providing a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment, which gives students a fun way to achieve fitness. In addition, we place an emphasis on teaching the correct techniques to students of all ability levels. Class size is limited so instructors are able to provide individual attention. All fitness and dance classes are for adults and teens (12+). Kids dance classes are starting from 3.5 years old.

Studio 214 also rents their facility for Birthday parties/ events or Private group Zumba classes. Parties are scheduled upon request with 2 weeks in advance! Please contact Tina if you are interested in renting the Studio by the Hour. 718-449-1351

Tina Instructor/Manager

Tina Wang is a certified yoga instructor from the 7 Centers Yoga Arts in Sedona, Arizona, Zumba Licensed for basic, kids and kids JR and STRONG by Zumba. Certified in professional Ballroom Dance Structure- Full Bronze, and Associate Bronze and CPR/AED certified for Adults, Children, and Infants by American Heart Association.

Licensed Zumbini Instructor.

She is also a personal trainer certified from NYSED American Academy of personal training of New York.

Julia Diorio Yoga Instructor

Julia Diorio, Certified Yoga Teacher 

Julia has been teaching yoga since 1997. A triathlete and marathon runner for many years, Julia attributes the lack of injuries so common to runners and athletes to her dedicated yoga practice. She found yoga “a wonderful transition from a rigorous, athletic endeavor to a more meaningful and soulful journey.”

Her strong, energetic style is influenced by her gymnastics and athletic background and her passion for the dynamic, empowering styles of Vinyasa and Ashtanga Yoga. Holding a B.S. in physical education and an M.S. in Science, Julia brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her teaching. Though her classes can be challenging, they are open to all levels, as Julia is skilled in helping each student adapt postures to their own level of ability. Her warm, upbeat personality makes everyone feel welcome and her love of yoga shines through in every class.

Ayelet Afek Yoga Instructor

Ayelet is a certified Yoga instructor by Yogamaya Chelsea NYC and Pilates mat by Equinox. With training in dance -Ballet, Tap, Musical theatre, teaching/assisting stretch classes to dancers (Peridance-NYC) and teaching Ballet to little kids.

Ayelet is teaching a well rounded Vinyasa class that builds heat and challenges the student no matter what level they’re in. Musicality and flow have strong presence in her class.

Michelle Zumba Instructor

Michelle Truong is a certified Zumba instructor. In her early days, she took ballet, aerobic, step and cardio kickboxing classes but after taking her first Zumba class, she fell in love (besides her husband) and was inspired to be a Zumba instructor.

Zumba is a unique fusion of Latin dance choreography and fitness. It integrates invigorating rhythm with an easy to follow, effective calorie burning experience.

It’s her passion to teach and share the dance movements.
